Default iTunes copy music from CDs to the hard drive in ACC format, however it is possible to configure it to copy in MP3 format. To do this:
- Open iTunes
- Click on "Edit> Preferences> General tab"
- Click the button "Import Settings"
- In the window that opens, open the dropdown menu and select "MP3 Encoder"
- Finally click "OK" in the open windows
