If during the installation of an extension program . Msi and Windows Live Messenger, you receive one of these errors, probably Windows Installer damaged.
To solve the problem, follow these steps:
- Download Windows Installer and install on your PC
- Reinstall Windows Installer by using a command line:
- Click Start> Run
- Write msiexec / unreg (Leave a space between "msiexec" and "/ unreg")
- Click "OK"
- Repeat this time typing msiexec / regserver (Leave a space between "msiexec" and "/ regserver")
- Repair Windows:
- Insert the Windows CD
- Click Start> Run
- Write SFC / Scannow (Put a space between "SFC" and "/ scannow")
- Click "OK" and follow the process
