After testing many rom for Htc Magic I think it if has been achieved can be truly operational for daily use of the phone. It is the speed of Cupcake much less but for a normal use of the terminal if it is acceptable .
We are not responsible for the harm he may cause to the terminal, but neither has it anything to happen .
The requirements for install this rom are having ACCESS Magic root in our Htc and have the card Sd micro partitioned. The only difference from the partitions so far necessary , were two, one FAT32 and one EXT2, is that now we need a third partition with Swapp format. This third partition has to be done from a Linux distribution as for EXT2 but in the dropdown tell when choosing the partition type Linux Swapp. This last partition is recommended to be 32 mb.
For both the micro Sd we have to have three partitions:
- A FAT32 size you want
- A EXT2 not larger than 1.5 GB , 1 GB is more than enough
- A Swapp of size 32 MB
Once we have the root access partitioned card and as I say the steps are:
- We got this archive
- Copy it to the card
- update.zip renamed it .
- We turn off the phone and turning on the power recovery mode (HOME + OFF)
- We Wipe ( we chose from the available options )
- We update
- We finally a reboot
The Htc Magic restarts and we already installed the interface Htc Sense.
With this rom have the option if we see the Htc Sense is too slow for our liking or not what you expected, you can use the rom without Htc widgets Sense. But keeping all other interface applications such as messaging program , call manager , calendar, etc.
To do this we are going to MENU- CONFIGURATION - APPLICATIONS -applied -we have pressed a few seconds on TouchFlo and press the Delete option appears defaults. We leave this option to the desktop and every time you press the HOME key will leave us the option of using Htc Sense or a normal interface applications , while maintaining Htc Sense without widgets.
