Windows 7 uses , by default , only 512 KB of RAM as a buffer for its trade with the hard drive . If you have at least 1 GB of RAM, you can increase the amount of memory : reading and writing files will be accelerated . Note that this also applies to Windows Vista.
- Click Start, Type Regedit in the search field and confirm with Entry.
- In the registry editor that opens, scroll down the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, Session Manager, Memory Management.
- If the value IoPageLockLimit does not appear in the right part , right click and choose New, DWORD 32-bit.
- Name the value IoPageLockLimit and double click it.
- Select the database Hexadecimal.
- Enter the value F0000 and click OK.
- the Registry Editor and restart your PC to apply the change .
