Change the choice of OS at startup

When you have multiple versions of Windows on the same computer , the version that starts by default is always the latest version installed . Here's how to choose the system that starts at boot directly into Windows.

We present here two methods to choose the system that launches at startup.

1 / In the System Properties

XP : go Start, Control Panel, System then click on the tab Advanced System Settings.

Under Vista and Windows 7 Start, Control Panel, System and Security, System and click Advanced System Settings in the left pane .

Note that you can directly go to System Properties typing sysdm.cpl in the search box the start menu. Then go to the tab Advanced System Settings.

Then click on the button Settings Section Startup and Recovery. It 'll just choose the default operating system of your choice in the dropdown list and click OK.

2 / By msconfig

Go start, Run ... then type msconfig ( or enter msconfig directly into the search box the start menu ) .
XP : go to the tab BOOT.INI msconfig .
Under Vista and Windows 7 go to the tab Start msconfig .
In the systems list , select the one by which you want to start and click on the button By default.
So, the next time the computer system of your choice will now be executed.
