Vistumbler: Another detector of wireless networks (Wi-Fi) free for Windows 7

An excellent Free program for Windows 7 (And only Vista without support for XP/2000), which allows the user to detect (or scan) wireless networks that are in the range of the sensing device Wi-Fi signal from your computer, bringing the user to look at different graphs that signal intensity of each of the networks, etc.

Right now I rise to speak on VistumblerA free software Windows available in English, Spanish, French, Swedish, German and other languages. Interface, as you can see in the screenshot above, is minimal and highly specific: it offers detailed information for each wireless network. In the list, I commented that is what we offer in your application:

  • Details of the network: MAC address, SSID, signal strength, channel, authentication type, security level, performance status, latitude and longitude, etc..
  • Manufacturer of the wireless network
  • While scalability illustrative graphics that show the signal strength
  • Support for GPS signals making it much more flexible
  • Fully compatible with Windows 7 and Vista, I recommend XP inSSIDer
  • It is absolutely free and is expected to continue to improve version after version

The program also lets you export and import points of access (information) to text formats as TXT. Another interesting feature of Vistumbler, Is that we can enable the option to listen to the signal activity is how / when found, with the sounds in English.
