Configure notifications push Hotmail on iPhone, IPAD and iPod Touch
Since a few days ago Microsoft enabled the support for push notifications to mobile devices in their email services, calendar and contacts. With Exchange ActiveSync, it is now automatically sync our mail accounts and Hotmail contacts with our cell phone or tablet as the IPAD.
This means that when we receive an email, add or modify a contact, or even an appointment in the calendar on the website Hotmail, Exchange ActiveSync will be responsible for notifying and synchronizing information between Web and mobile.
These are the steps to enable push notifications from Hotmail on the iPhone , iPod Touch and IPAD via Exchange ActiveSync:
- Enter the option Settings and then select Mail , contacts , calendars
- Select Add Account in the accounts page .
- Select Microsoft Exchange to configure access to Hotmail.
- Complete the fields with the following information and press Following:
- Email : your Hotmail email
- Domain: leave blank
- User: your Hotmail email
- Password: Hotmail password
- Description: the one you want
- Now the field will Server. Where you should enter the value m.hotmail.com. Press the button Following
- If the configuration was correct , you'll see the page to choose if you want to sync Mail, Contacts and Calendar. Finally press the Save button.
