Create direct links to downloads DropBox

Never ceased to amaze me how useful it is Dropbox. As I said, not only serves to synchronize files between multiple computers and web.

Dropbox synchronize a folder, located in "My Documents" - with all the PCs that have installed to access these files regardless of the PC where you are. Apart from this, Dropbox also houses the archives online, for access to them from, for example, our mobile phones, or any browser. Of all programs we have seen in recent years, Dropbox is still among the most useful.

A recent tip discovered by a reader Lifehaker (the-soup), gives even more useful to Dropbox. Historically, every time you copy a link to our "Public" folder in Dropbox, we can quickly copy the link and pass it to the person needing the file, effectively replacing other file-sharing services, provided they are not too heavy.

With this tip, instead of sending the person to a page to download the file, what we are doing is giving a direct link download, so that you just click, start the download automatically. That is, anything to go first to a page, just click on "Download", but rather download it directly.

How? Just andante, any file you have in your public folder: ? Dl = 1

As you can see in the picture above, once you add this small text link, the download will begin automatically. This only works with links to a / u / in the link, does not work if you have, for example, / s /

In short, it's a great way to share files, especially if they are people who do not handle well the PC and need an easy way to receive them.
