The arrival of Chrome's release candidate OS seemed to suggest to many that the official launch was at hand, especially when the mobile operating system was introduced to the world on 19 November (2009) and missing less and less to get to that date.
But that does not happen, and Chrome OS not coming this year. During the Web 2.0 Summit event in San Francisco, Eric Schmidt was in charge of eliminating hopes by stating that the project is at a distance of a few months.
So at least we have something clear, is that this holiday season Chrome OS will not be among us, and therefore we are not full of products based on it.
Beyond that, Schmidt was asked how it will be the relationship between Android and Chrome, which has long time been something of a mystery. But Google CEO has left everything in clear with an overwhelming simplicity: Android will be to touch screens and Chrome OS for devices with keypad.
