Finally we have the winner in the singing reality show on Sony Entertainment Television channel. Sreeramchandra has taken the laurel out of 3 contestants, Bhoomi Trivedi, Rakesh Maini, Sreeram himself in the Grand Finale. All the 3 were simply awesome however it was Sreeram Chandra who took the title as Indian Idol 5, 2010 .

The winner was chosen based on the viewer votes and India voted for Sreeramchandra. Sreeramchandra sang the heart out to impress the judges and the audience alike.

Sreeramchandra takes home a cash prize worth Rs. 1 crore and a music contract from Sony BMG.

24-years old Sreeramchandra is a professional singer staying with his family in Secunderabad, Andrapradesh. His dad is a High Court advocate whilst his mum is a housewife.

Sreeramchandra began singing during his school days nevertheless embarked on his professional training in singing only in the 1st year of his college. He is a total music buff and has done numerous music shows together with playback singing for a small number of Telugu movies.

imageTo 21-years old Bhoomi Trivedi Indian Idol is not completely alien. Indeed she had auditioned for the show twice, Indian Idol 3 and 4 and got selected. Unfortunately she had to bid farewell to the 3rd season as she was inflicted by jaundice and 4th because she had attend her aunt’s funeral. She returned to the 5th edition of Indian Idol with immense confidence and determination.

Bhoomi come from a music family, her dad loves to sing whilst her mother owns a music group. Her elder sister a bharat-natayam dancer works together with her Bhoomi and her mother at customary Navratri events. Bhoomi begun learning music while she was an 8th grader. She took part frequently in school and college’s competitions that enhanced her confidence and made her think about singing seriously.

imageRakesh Maini, who is 27-years old now, comes from a huge family comprising of 11 siblings. His parents are basically from Agra. Rakesh’s parents are in fact old and have deteriorating eyesight. Their mere wish in life is to watch their son, Rakesh performing on TV. Rakesh auditioned for Indian Idol to fulfill his parents, wishes.
Rakesh has got no formal education in music and has principally learnt singing through his individual commitment and effort. Source
